GOOD FOLK & FILM

Good Folk & Film was born from my deep love for film photography—the kind that tells stories without trying too hard. Growing up, I spent hours looking through the film photos my grandparents had collected over the years. My own childhood lives there too—grainy, warm, honest, and full of feeling. Those images shaped the way I see memories and the way I see art.  And I never stopped noticing the in-between moments—the quiet glances, the messy laughter, the way life feels when it’s unfolding without direction. This is where my film work lives. It’s candid, nostalgic, imperfectly perfect. It’s less about posing and more about presence. Less polished, more felt.

For a long time, I wrestled with the idea of choosing just one style. I wondered if I needed to change, narrow it down, or fit myself into a single creative box. But the truth is—I love both deeply. My timeless, fine-art work with Bri Burton Photo holds so much meaning for me. And this—this raw, honest, documentary approach—does too. Each tells a story in its own beautiful way, and both have a permanent place in my heart.

So instead of choosing, I decided to offer both.

When you book with me, you have two distinct styles to choose from:

BBP Style — timeless, clean, intentional, and classic

Good Folk Style — candid, emotive, nostalgic, and real

And the best part? You don’t actually have to choose just one. You can have both. When booking, simply let me know which style you’re drawn to—or if you want a blend of the two.

I am, at my core, a woman of creativity and art. I believe there is room for softness and structure, polish and imperfection. Life isn’t one-dimensional, and your memories don’t have to be either. Having both feels fuller. More honest. More you.
